Sunday...in the Wild Outdoors..

So we decided to go Lake Panasoffkee this weekend for a bit of hiking. When we finally found it we realized we were the only one at this park. It was beautiful though! I wish we would have remembered the camera though....bug spray..check! We still had a lot of fun. A few miles into our trails we came along some tracks, the first set we believed to be a gator section, because it was right near the water and with the prints and bedding it all pointed to gator. The other set of tracks were from wild boars. We took a break a bit further down the path and after we were done set along our way. That's when we realized that we weren't alone. There was a boar in the bushes next to us! We could hear it moving and the minute Tim saw it we flipped around and went back out the way we came. It ended up to be the long way out but at least we didn't have to wrestle one of these things:

All in all, it was a great time though. We went home, ordered a pizza, and a few beers..i swear we were so sore we fell asleep at seven something.

Cancer Free Days..

So Tim and I have been battling with the fact that his cancer may have returned. He had lumps surfacing throughout his lymph nodes and from what we were told that was normally a sign of lymphoma. He went this week and got a full body PET scan done and the results came back today. They say there is no sign of cancer in the lumps. That's great news, right?! However, now we are left baffled by what the lumps could possibly be. So one stress leads to another. The lumps he has have been slow growing and so we are just stumped. However, lack of funds on our part is causing us to stop the search for the cause right now. Just knowing that there is no cancer in there for the time being will have to be enough. I guess, right? So on a positive note, they are saying he does not have cancer! We are very happy about this! Hence another chapter in our life is on! Yes!

In other news, I'm not sure if I had posted it here or not, but we received two adult rabbits on Easter. Since then the mother had one litter but killed all but one of those. We saved the one and named her Miracle. She is now 4 weeks old. However, that same day she had that first litter she was still with the male. From what I understand they mated that same day (they were separate later that day) and she was again pregnant without our knowledge. We went back there about a week ago now and there were babies all over the place. She had another litter of five. So now we have five babies. We do have the cages separated however, she ate through the screen and got over to the male's side. They mated. I'm assuming she's pregnant, YET AGAIN. lol o man. Now I know what they mean by "humping like rabbits" these things don't quit. You have GOT to be kidding me! lol Anyone want any baby rabbits? :)

Also, Tim is VERY excited about our yard. He had grown these BEAUTIFUL sunflowers..I'm posting a picture up here as we speak. He's so cute! It gives him a way to just vent and all that. I love him so!

Attack of the killer...

Frog? Yep. That's right. The other night I was going into the house and got scared because I was hearing footsteps in the background. I went and turned the headlights in the car on so it would shine on the front door. The footsteps kept getting closer and I could hear the leaves moving. Completely freaked me out. The next day when I woke up, Tim & I were talking and I mentioned the person walking on the side of the house. Tim said he had heard the same thing, except he actually went looking for the noise. I know crazy man. He turned the corner and a giant frog ended up being there. Just sitting, looking at him. It was actually pretty funny, we both got scare off a frog. That's about the only exciting thing happening lately. Everything else has been depressing news and we don't want to discuss depressing, we want to stay happy happy happy! Like a bunch of crazy happy ninjas dancing around a room. WAHHH!!!! lol

Has anyone taken a look at the real estate market lately? Pretty depressing normally but we have noticed that sales have gone up in Marion County from last year. That's a decent sign, right? At least something good is happening, small yes, but still good.

Valetine's Day..

We had to celebrate Valentine's Day on Sunday, so we took the day to go to City Walk. The first place we stopped at was the Cineplex 2.0. Wow was this place nice! It's a two story theater with a full service bar in it. Nice. Tim had a Bud and I had this fruity sour drink that I can't remember the name to. We sat "Taken", in the movie a former government operative's daughter is kidnapped and he goes over to Europe to get her back. It's a very action packed movie, we enjoyed it. Were a bit dissapointed at the ending though. Overal a decent movie.

After the movie we headed out and enjoyed all the shops and restaurants and finally decided on this place called Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. It's after the movie "Forrest Gump". Not bad food, but I wouldn't suggest doing the fried stuff. I had the "Fish In A Bucket" too much fried stuff for me. Tim had the most amazing looking Cobb Salad. Darn him and his good food choices! lol So needless to say I didn't eat well that day.

We spent the time after just slowly making our way back to the car. It was a very nice and relaxing day. Did I mention that Tim actually gave me a giant balloon that sings "I Got You Babe" and a box of chocolates. I got him a bag of goodies with some fishing magazines. Oh what fun times we had with all that candy!

Cuddling With A Movie..

So we both had another night off together...and it was just very relaxing. We made some chocolate drizzled popcorn, pulled a blanket out of the closet, called our cats to the couch and popped in "Failure To Launch." That movie is so funny!
So to inform some of you that haven't seen it here is a short rundown of what the movie is about:
At 35, Tripp (Matthew McConaughey) has an interesting job, a hip car, a passion for sailing, and a great house - trouble is, he lives with his parents. They want him out, so they hire Paula (Sarah Jessica Parker), an "interventionist," who has a formula in these cases: chance encounter, get him to ask her out, involve him in a trauma, meet his friends and get their nod, delay sex, have him teach her something, then launch him. It's worked up to now, but this gets complicated when Tripp thinks she's getting too serious and one of his pals is attracted to Paula's deadpan, semi-alcoholic roommate, who's plagued by a mockingbird. Too many secrets may scrub the launch, and what if Paula really likes him? Who can intervene then?
Sounds good, aye? Well, it is! If you like romantic comedies I definitely reccomend this one!
All in all it was a nice relaxing night with a great movie!

Our Family Slideshow

First Day..

So, let the blogging begin.

It has been a busy year already and it's only February! How crazy is that? For the Superbowl Tim & I went to his parent's house to celebrate it for a while. His grandfather LOVED the jersey Tim got him. Here's a pic of Tim and his grandfather that Sunday. His grandfather is such a sweet and smart man!

Then we headed over to my parents' house (MaryAnn and Dave Kintner), that was a lot of fun too, we ate, drank and yelled at the tv. Rebecca and Jeremiah were there so it was good times. Dad was so funny! I posted a video of dad yelling during the game on youtube, here's the link if you want to check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3wKAIB9Kn8

In other news, Jimmy and posssibly Sam shall be staying with Tim & I for a few days next week to visit. Jimmy is going to be working on tattoos while he's here. He did this one below on my stomach while he was here, I think it turned out well. He did a few others as well while he was here. It's my second tattoo so far, I have stars on my back.

Tim is going to be getting a dragon on his chest and stomach. We'll see how that one turns out. Tim is all excited about it though! He's so darn cute! I was thinking of creating something with all of Jimmy's work on it for him. Figured maybe it would be a good birthday gift? I will have to update everything on all the other siblings on another blog. That will probably take a few blogs if I put a lot of detail into it. David and Bill all just had birthdays. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Rebecca's 21st Birthday is coming up! I'm so excited for her! We are having a birthday weekend for her the weekend of March 6th through the 8th. I know she can't wait, we're going to Universal Studios and City Walk. I'll have to put up more information as it comes.

Also this week Tim painted our bathroom, it makes it look so much bigger! He did a great job! Wow, we lead boring lives don't we? Like last night, I got off work from the City early, so I was home around 8pm. Tim made me a wonderful salad with some fruit in it then some fruit on the side for dessert. We watched some shows and went to bed early. We are getting old I tell ya!!

So far this year we've already had one friend crash his van into a tree, another friend of mine is having problems with her new baby...I'm thinking of you Amber! So many people getting laid off already, even just from the people I know. It's been crazy. I really hope things pick up soon. It's getting sad out there. Tim and I are blessed to still have both our jobs! :)

UNTIL NEXT TIME.....
